Who JQD Are

Jake has always been fascinated with the field of architecture, whether it was drawing the floor plans for houses when he was 9 years old, to constantly being in awe of some truly great buildings that he has had the privilege to see; so, when the idea presented itself to pursue architecture as a career path Jake knew immediately that this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

After graduating from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in 2017, Jake started working for Safdie Rabines Architects where he learned to hone his design skills while also managing client expectations. In 2018, Jake returned home to Edmonton to begin the process of becoming a registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects and took a position with MTA Architecture where he continued his professional education. Then, in 2020, Jake officially started Jake Quist Design to fulfill his dream of creating long lasting architecture and designs.
